Which also saves a serious amount of CPU nothing having to have 12 nexus's open in your DAW You get tools for the job like hardware synth, for ?200 you can have everything with hardware sounding quality Something that you can do with a virtual analog, or wavetable synth, like Gladiator 2 or DUNE 2.ĭaniel Seven - Italian Hardcore DJ/Producer - Soundcloud With a ROMpler, you can't design a nasty reece bassline, or set the right amount of detune on a supersaw riff sound. I can't say, however, that all the sounds are quality - there are some sounds that are best played with a synthesizer - as you can tweak the sounds as you like. Nexus 2 can be limited with sound design (you can't design sounds nor use your own samples on it) even through some of the sounds are actually designed pretty well (I like the pianos, the pads and some backing sounds). Nexus 2 is a ROM sampler, and Gladiator 2 is a wavetable synthesizer. The sounds on nexus 2 have been pure raped id say go for gladiatorĬomparing Nexus 2 with Gladiator is like comparing apples and oranges. Record a live bar and mess with keyboard controls If you want to do all this EDM bollox, of all 20 presets in every video, just put the modulator wheel on octave in gladiator Machfive is the bomb, and can read kontakt sample intruments If you want a sampler get machfive or kontakt, not a half assed vst of nexus It's also good for layering with z3ta and sylenth. Here's a good example, in the arpeggios bank there are 2 presets called Viral Infection 1 & 2, turn off the arp mode for them and fidget around with them a little, gives you a nice sound like the original virus synth. Although some of the sound presets are pish. Nexus2 is a great plugin if used properly.

Thanks, I didn't know that, I have e-licenser for vengeance sidechain

If you have an e-licenser dongle, like for cubase, there is a trial version. honestly i use about 40 to 30% of the presets, its an ok buy. I have nexus and i will say that some of the pianos on there are GREEEAAAAT! And some pads on there are amazing too. Youtube channel / soundcloud and mixcloud suck So you want tone 2 gladiator which sounds better to begin with and is only ?99 and will last for another 20 years No, its rubbish, it will sound like trash as it uses aload of samples as 32bit sound cards are comming What other VST's is good at the moment? I only really play about with Serum and Massive tbh. I use it at my mates if were going for a particular sound or club ready track i also like to render out any parts as audio stems which i can then make my own by using other plugins but you can get an awesome track done very very quickly using just a couple of instances of nexus and dont need any further processing.one thing i do think is superb is the arp its got tons of options and some really good gating effects.the reverb is ok but can sometimes muddy up a track so i useally turn that off and use one of my own.All users can post new topics in this forum. All users can reply to topics in this forumĭoes anyone still use this? I've been thinking of getting it. īut i also know theres a ton of gear heads on here and other sites that absolutley hate it because it offers very little in creating your own sounds and see presets as the spawn of satan and hate users using them.
#IS NEXUS PLUGIN WORTH IT FULL#
If your doing hiphop you may not get the full advantage of buying nexus because most of the sounds are geared towards armin van burren/swedish mafia/red one/ibiza type tracks.they do a hiphop soundpack but from what ive heard and used it at my mates its not very good but there dance sounds are upto the minute bang on the money type of sounds and very inspiring. The starter pack is well worth the money if you want to do club ready/radio ready productions id say a vast majority of hit club tracks have been done with nexus all the big acts all the big dance producers use nexus and there vengeance sample packs.one of the reasons they use them is they need no or very little processing too get the sounds to sit in the mix.
